History

Hasaacas Ladies Football Club was established in June 2003 as part of the Sekondi Hasaacas Football Club conglomerate of clubs. Women’s Football enthusiast, Ben Hassan upon his return from Germany, birthed the idea of a women’s team and pitched it to Benjamin Nanabayin Eyison and Alhaji Fuseini Mahama, both current Directors of the conglomerate, and the team became formidable in 2003.

The team initially played games in the Western Region of Ghana till the introduction of the Women’s Premier League which we won on three consecutive occasions: 2012/2013, 2013/2014, and 2014/2015. The team is now the most successful club in Ghana and won an unprecedented double; Women’s Premier League and FA Cup in 2021.

Hasaacas Ladies won the first-ever West Africa Football Union Zone B Women’s Club Championship in 2021 and became the first team to qualify for the maiden Confederation of Africa Football Women’s Champions League.
