Coach Yussif Basigi fielded Grace Banwaa in goal post and she had in front of her, Linda Eshun, Abiba Issah, Fatimata Fuseini and Comfort Owusu.

What happened

It was a bright weather likened for association football and Hasaacas Ladies made their way onto the Gyandu Park field with 9 new faces out of the 18 players that made the match day squad list.

It was the visitors that kicked the game underway…the brightest chance for the half fell on the path of Doris Boaduwaa who saw her kick thwarted by goalkeeper Portia Asantewaa.

Fidous Yakubu came close but her long range effort whiskered off goal.

It ended nil in the first half and the return to the field from recess proved much can be expected from this new crop Hasaacas Ladies side.

On the 78th minute, Comfort Owusu had a clean ran through 3 players and upon entering the goal area she was brought down just on the edge of the goal post.

Doreen Copson stood up and sent in a thunderbolt which left Portia Asantewaa no chance of getting to it.

The strike from Doreen Copson helped Hasaacas Ladies FC to a 1-0 win.

The team travel to Essiam Socrates on match day 2.
