FA Cup semis: Cape Coast Stadium hosts Jonina clash

Jonina-Hasaacas

Hasaacas Ladies will face Jonina Ladies in the semi-finals of the Women’s FA Cup on Saturday, March 21.

The game will be played at the Coast Stadium in the second of two matches on the day of the women’s football doubleheader.

The meeting will be the third encounter between the two sides this season, having already met twice in the Women’s Premier League last year and earlier this year.

In the two meetings in the league, Hasaacas are yet to pick up a win, losing one and drawing the reverse fixture in Accra.

Jonina played in the final of the FA Cup last season, losing to Faith Ladies in the final.

Hasaacas are hoping to return to the FA cup final stage for the first time in a long while, and hoping that head coach, Raymond Fenny, who led Faith Ladies to glory last season, will replicate the same success.

The winner of the encounter will face the winning team from the fixture between Samartex and Army Ladies.

Hasaacas beat Blacoe Soccer Academy, Socrates Ladies, Epiphany Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies en route to reaching the last four of the cup competition.

Kick-off for the game is scheduled for 16:00 GMT.
