Our current unbeaten run continued over the weekend as we claimed a 2-1 victory over Soccer Intellectuals at home in the Women’s Premier League.

The Hasmal Ladies came from a goal down to claim an all-important three points to stay at the top of the Southern Zone after 15 rounds of games.

The visitors took the lead in the 34 minutes of the game from the penalty spot after a handball in the Hasaacas box.

They also had a player sent off in the second half for a dangerous play.

Hasaacas got the equaliser in the 68th minute when Abiba Issah converted from the penalty spot after substitute Anita Kwarteng had been fouled in the box.

Minutes later, Milot Pokuaa scored in her third consecutive league game, this time from a direct free kick to give us a lead in the game.

The 2-1 victory leaves us at the top of the table with just three games to go.

The ladies’ next assignment is against Epiphany Warriors this weekend before turning their attention to FA Cup action.
