GFA Updates 2022/2023 Football Season’s Calendar

The Ghana Football Association’s Competitions Department has today announced updates of the seasonal calendar for the remainder of the games.

The new update means the originally planned Quarterfinals of the Women’s FA Cup which was scheduled for the weekend of April 8, 9, and 10 has been postponed to make way for Ghana’s U23 Women’s team and Black Queens friendlies against Algeria Women’s Team.

The Women’s FA Cup Quarterfinals which will be taking place on the Weekend of May 2, 3 and 4, the semifinals will take place the following weekend between May 5 and May 8, 2023 and the final of the Women’s FA Cup takes place between May 19 and 22, 2023.

1. Quarterfinals – May 2-4
2. Semifinals – May 5-8
3. Final – May 19-22

The remaining three Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League continues from April 14 and the final taking place on a yet to be decided date between May 12 and May 15, 2023.

1. Match Week 16 – April 14 – 17
2. Match Week 17 – April 21 – 24
3. Match Week 18 – April 28 – May 1

4. Final – May 12 – 15

Hasaacas Ladies Football Club will play Army Ladies FC in the quarterfinals of the Women’s FA Cup and a winner from that tie will compete in the semifinals against either Ampem Darkoa Ladies or Prisons Ladies FC in the other quarterfinals game for a slot in the final.

Coach Yussif Basigi and his charges are four points clear of the Southern Zone of the MG WPL ladder with three more games to end the season.
