I Believe So Much in My New Recruits – Yussif Basigi

Yussif Basigi has been raining praises on the new additions made towards the season after a 1 – 0 opening day win against Berry Ladies Football Club.

Hasaacas Ladies welcomed Berry Ladies FC at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on match day one of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League and a solitary goal courtesy a well-curled in set piece from Doreen Copson won all the points for Hasaacas Ladies all the points.

The win extended Hasaacas Ladies unbeaten run in the league to 19 games, the longest unbeaten streak in the competition’s history and took the team’s dominance over Berry Ladies to 5 wins in the last 7 meetings.

Hasaacas Ladies FC has seen 13 players leave the club within a period of 10 months and this necessitated the inclusion of 11 new players.

Yussif Basigi handed four debutants starting roles in the encounter; Fatimata Fuseini, Efuwa Asabel, Abiba Issah and Fidous Yakubu were given starting places and all four played full throttle for the game.

After the game Yussif Basigi spoke highly of his new additions and said he’ll need two more games to be able to settle on the real plan for the season due to his side’s struggle to adapt to his system during the preseason.

“We had a very difficult preseason, we even struggled to adapt and looking at the performance today, I can only say my players did very well”

“I will need two more games to access my team and how we can approach the other games. Everyone is talking about Faith Ladies, they are doing well as well as the other teams, I would want to watch the first three games before I can find means of going into the other games”

“Today the new signings did well, I have a lot of trust in them and I know after three games they will gel well enough” – he told Connect FM’s Stephen Kwame Yeboah.
