Milot Pokuaa was the star of the day for the Hasmal Ladies in our vital win over Army Ladies over the weekend.

We faced the Accra-based side in a top-of-the-table clash at the Mats Park in Teshie on Sunday, chasing an opportunity go outrightly at the top of the table.

The home side had the majority of the ball and created chances in the opening 45 minutes, but the Hasaacas defence was up to the task as they curbed all threats.

The two teams headed into the break with the scoreline level.

However, that changed quickly just three minutes into the second half.

Milot burst onto a surging run from a long ball and raced into the penalty box before firing a low ball past the Army Ladies’ goalkeeper to give us the lead.

Army Ladies also had a player sent off in the closing stages of the game for a foul on Milot but the resulting freekick was wasted.

The team held their nerves and picked up all three points as they moved three point clear at the top of the league table.

Hasaacas are back at home next weekend against Soccer Intellectuals.
