TotalEnergies CAF WCL: Hasaacas Ladies FC Beat AS Mandé 3-0 to Book Semifinal Slot

Hasaacas Ladies Football Club secured the first slot to the semifinal of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League after an emphatic 3-0 victory over AS Mandé of Mali.

Coach Yussif Basigi paraded an unchanged starting eleven from the side the secured a 3-1 win against Malabo Kings.

Goalkeeper Grace Banwaa was in-between the sticks; Janet Egyir and Shine Blessing sat in front of her and was flanked on the left and right by Perpetual Agyekum and Regina Antwi.

There was the usual midfield trio of Faustina Nyame Aidoo, Azumah Bugre and Evelyn Badu sitting just behind arrow head Veronica Appiah.

Doris Boaduwaa and Jafaru Rahama flanked the right and left respectively.

It was perfect time out on the 30 June Stadium as Hasaacas Ladies begun the usual onslaught, taking the game right to the half of AS Mandé.

Before long, and with 16 minutes showing on the clock. Evelyn Badu scored at either half of the game and Perpetual Agyekum powered in a trademark free kick as the Giantess clutched the second win of the tournament to book a slot to the semifinals.

The opening day 3-1 win over Equatorial Guinea side, Malabo Kings and today’s 3-0 win meant the Yussif Basigi and his lads has historically secured first ticket to the semifinal in the Competition’s history.

Evelyn Badu open the score sheet with a low drive to the bottom right corner whilst Perpetual Agyekum flew and audacious free kick from a 35 yards out on the blink of the half time whistle to give Hasmal Ladies a 2-0 first half lead.

Group A Standings After Game Day 2

The second half saw an overly dominant Hasaacas Ladies side yet it was again Evelyn Badu who tapped in to an assist from Veronica Appiah to take game beyond the reach of the Malians.

It was her 4th goal of the campaign and a 6th overall for the entire team with Perpetual Agyekum the architect behind that double too.
