Takoradi, 24.08.21 – Sekondi based Hasaacas Ladies Football Club (FC) visited the office of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) in Takoradi to present the three trophies won by the club in the just ended 2020/21 football season.
The club finished the season as the Ghana Women’s Premier League and FA Cup Champions before proceeding to win the Women’s Champions League, WAFU Zone B Tournament.
The delegation was led by former chairman of the club, Eric Essel, in the company of club Administrator, Henry Ansah, Assistant Coach, William Ankrah, other technical staff and players.
Mr. Essel said the club was delighted to share its successes with GNPCGhana who remains an astute partner to sports development in Ghana.
General captain, Perpetual Agyekum, on behalf of her teammates, expressed her happiness for the recognition and respect gained for their achievements and hopes that same would inspire the growth of women’s football in Ghana particularly. “We feel motivated to continue on our winning to make the Western Region and the rest of Ghana proud,” she added.
Receiving the team, Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah, expressed his appreciation for the visit and reechoed the pride of all Ghanaians over the accomplishments of the club and assured them of its support to enable them reach higher heights.
