Goalkeeper Diana Maweremo showed up strong and pulled off three magnificent saves as Hasaacas Ladies secured a 3-1 win on spot kicks after the regulation time had ended 2-2.
It is a date in the final against Army Ladies Football Club after going past Faith Ladies in a tight game in the early hours of Friday, October 6, 2023.
Hasaacas Ladies booked a place in the final of the Women’s Premier Super Cup 2023 after seeing-off Faith Ladies in a dramatic penalty shootout after our gallant Giants have fought to comeback twice from behind courtesy Mukarama Abdulai’s brace at either side of the halves.
Faith Ladies, holders of the Women’s Premier Super Cup took the early lead in the game and was canceled out by our newly signed attacker, Mukarama to end the half 1-1.
The Accra-based side showed resilience and added to their tally another goal with 20 more minutes to end the game and again Mukarama Abdulai registered her second of the game and third of the competition to draw us level and marched the game to spot kicks.
The game was played into the forte of Diana Maweremou who stood tall and denied Faith Ladies thrice in the exchanges to ease our ride into the final of the tournament.
Ruby Osei, Mukarama Abdulai and Fidous Yakubu hit the back of the net with their kicks and pushed Hasaacas Ladies to a second final of the three seasons old tournament.
Our Ladies now have the chance to replicate what was achieved in 2021, the maiden edition of the tournament.
